This is a small programme for keeping of the Internet bookmarks created by MS Internet Explorer. It is intended for those who dislikes a way of keeping bookmarks proposed by Microsoft (in the Favourites folder). What's wrong with this way? First, the bookmarks disappear if the operating system is re-installed.Second, the number of subfolders in Favourites grows very quickly. Keeping the bookmarks in separate folders, too, is not very suitable. WebFolder resolves this problem.
In brief, WebFolder works as several folders in one. User can create here groups of bookmarks and move from one group to another (i. e. from one folder to another) without quitting the programme.
There is only one way to do it: open the folder where your bookmarks are kept, choose all of them (or only necessary ones) and drag them with the mouse into the WebFolder window. Before doing this, you should create at least one group, otherwise WebFolder does not take your bookmarks. When you quit the program, but not earlier, all created groups and bookmarks will be saved in the system registry (the system database in Windows 95 / 98 / NT).
1) You need to export a set of groups and bookmarks into the external file with extension .WBF. After the operating system re-installing (or on another computer) you need to start WebFolder and import set from the file you have created.
2) You can make WebFolder export the groups and bookmarks automatically (see the menu description). Every time you close WebFolder, they shall be saved into a file named default.WBF in the same folder as the programme itself. If WebFolder detects that the system registry is "empty", it will try to restore the bookmarks from this file, if it does exist and is placed in the programme folder.
3) You can save all the bookmarks in a file of type .HTM, which can be opened in any Internet browser. Then you can follow the underlined links, as you do when you navigate through the Web normally.

WebFolder works under Windows 95/98/NT.
The programme is in stage of testing. Please report any bugs and suggestions to author: sher@online.nsk.ru
The .WBF files aren't always stored in the same folder. My intention was to store them in the folder where the programme starts, but it doesn't works in all cases.
